Author’s Notes

During my 45 years of corporate and consulting experience with companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50, I have learned what to do and what should never be done from some of the best and worst leaders. I have often thought to myself, “I wish I knew this 45 years ago.” It would have made things a lot easier. I created the Business Hierarchy of Needs® in 2013 to give you food for those thoughts, and have been using it in my consulting practice ever since. I wrote this book to provide you, the reader, with a high-level view of how a business should be run and the critical elements that need to be addressed.
